The Project Management Institute (PMI) grants the prestigious PMP (Project Manager Professional) Certificate, universally known as a compliance title that "qualifies and provides project management competence”.

To obtain it, candidates require a university diploma, 4,500 hours of justified work in project management, 36 CH (Contact Hours) and approving a four-hour exam in English. However, this is not a permanent title.  Once obtained, and every three years, a series of professional activities have to be justified to renew it.

SANTOS CMI has several qualified members of its staff with PMP certification.  According to its strategic planning, all project managers in the company will gradually obtain the certificate.
